Pilar Moon Struck and Killed by Vehicle on 20 Freeway [Odessa, TX]

Pilar Moon Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 20 Freeway in Odessa

 
ODESSA, TX (October 31, 2022) – Police identified Pilar Moon of Kermit as the victim who was struck and killed by a vehicle in the 2400 block of West 20 Freeway on October 27.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened shortly after 1:00 AM.
 
Based on a report, Moon was walking in the outside eastbound lane prior to the crash. At the same time, a white 2020 International truck tractor was traveling in the same direction.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the driver of the truck took evasive action to avoid a collision. However, it still struck Moon.
 
As a result, the Odessa Police Department said Moon died in the incident.
 
Officers with Odessa Fire Rescue also responded to the scene. As of now, the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
