Phillip Brown Killed in Lubbock Motorcycle Crash on 22nd Street

 
LUBBOCK, TX (April 18, 2023) – Lubbock police identified 53-year-old Phillip Brown Jr. as the victim who suffered serious injuries in a motorcycle crash on 22nd Street on April 15.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened at Avenue Q around 8:30 PM. Based on a report, Brown was traveling south in the 2100 block of Avenue Q, when the motorcycle he was driving collided with an SUV.
 
It appears the SUV was traveling North in the 2200 block of Avenue Q and was in the process of making a left turn from the center turn lane when the collision occurred.
 
Upon arrival, officers found Brown Jr. with serious injuries. Crews transported him to University Medical Center, where he later died.
 
The investigation is active and ongoing. As of now, no other details are available.
