Pedestrian Dead, Suspect Fled the Scene in Gilroy Hit-and-Run

 
GILROY, CA (October 11, 2022) – A pedestrian died in a hit-and-run on Wren Avenue and El Cerrito Way around 8:54 p.m. on September 12.

According to Gilroy Police Department, details about the accident are limited. However, they confirmed that the Gilroy man died at the scene of the crash.

The suspect fled the scene and did not render aid to the victim. Authorities are now looking for the suspect. His SUV was gray or charcoal colored with damage on its front side. According to reports, the vehicle was seen heading north towards Wren Avenue from El Cerrito Way.

“The Gilroy Police Department is looking for witnesses who may have witnessed the collision or have surveillance footage that may have captured the vehicle in the area before or after the collision,” the agency stated.
