PETALUMA, CA (December 21, 2022) – A pedestrian was killed after a being hit by a car in an accident near McDowell Boulevard and Baywood Drive on December 17.

According to Petaluma Police officers, the collision happened around 5:51 a.m. Based on reports, an oncoming vehicle struck a pedestrian who appeared to be in the roadway, just south of Berrydale Drive.

Paramedics responded, but the pedestrian died from their injuries.

Authorities will not release the victim’s identity until their next of kin is notified.

There is no other information as of now. However, this case is under further investigation.
