Pedestrian Killed in Tractor-Trailer Crash on Arkins Court in Denver

 
DENVER, CO (April 23, 2024) — A pedestrian died in a tractor-trailer accident on Arkins Court on Wednesday, April 10.
 
According to the Denver Police Department, the crash took place in the 2900 block of Arkins Court in the Five Points neighborhood, near the South Platte River at around 10:50 a.m.
 
Denver Police said the driver of a tractor-trailer moved westbound on Arkins Court. Then an adult male pedestrian on the north shoulder fell into the roadway as the truck was passing.
 
The right rear tire of the tractor-trailer struck the pedestrian. Responding officers later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. They only described him as a man and his identity was not yet available.
 
The truck driver left the scene. Yet, authorities eventually located them. The driver told authorities that they did not notice that they hit a pedestrian.
 
Officers questioned the driver and later released them without a citation.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
