COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (January 19, 2024) — One person was injured in a pedestrian accident on North Carefree Circle on Saturday, January 13.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, just after midnight, they received reports of the crash that a vehicle struck someone. Officers then rushed to the intersection of North Carefree Circle and North Academy Boulevard.
 
First responders then performed CPR on the victim at the scene. After that, they rushed the pedestrian to the hospital.
 
CSPD officers temporarily closed the southbound lanes of Academy during the investigation.
 
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
