Paul Goodson Fatally Injured in San Antonio Crash on Southwest Loop 410

 
SAN ANTONIO, TX (July 30, 2024) — A 36-year-old man identified as Paul Anthony Goodson died in a fiery accident on Friday, July 12.
 
According to Sgt. Michael Moore with the San Antonio Police Department, the fatal crash occurred on Southwest Loop 410 near Medina Base Road on Friday morning.
 
SAPD said Goodson drove a Toyota Corolla south on Loop 410 near Medina Base Boulevard. Then he went off the road and into a grassy median with a barrier. After that, the vehicle went into the opposite lane and crashed into the back axle of an 18-wheeler.
 
Then the trailer dragged the Corolla until it burst into flames. Moore said the vehicle split in half. It sustained significant damage that police were not able to initially determine what type of vehicle it was.
 
The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Goodson died at the scene.
 
The big rig driver did not sustain any injuries. Police said he remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
 
Police have not yet determined what caused the incident. The investigation is still underway.
