Parampreet Deol Killed, Sukhmandeep Sidhu Seriously Injured in Crash on 40 Freeway [Shamrock, TX]

Parampreet Deol Identified in Fatal Crash with Semi-Trucks on 40 Freeway in Shamrock

 
SHAMROCK, TX (November 20, 2023) – Officials identified 26-year-old Parampreet Singh Deol of Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada who died in a crash on 40 Freeway on November 13.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened around 8:00 AM. Based on a report, a pickup towing a trailer had jack-knifed and closed the westbound lanes of the freeway prior to the crash.
 
Traffic was backed up about 3/4 of a mile but Deol did not see it and rear-ended another big rig. A chain reaction resulted in the second big rig hitting a third and the third hitting a fourth.
 
As a result, Deol suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
His passenger, 23-year-old Sukhmandeep Singh Sidhu, who was in the sleeper berth, suffered injuries in the crash. Crews transported the victim to Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo. They also took two of the other drivers to the hospital.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
