Oswald Capistron Struck, Killed While Riding Scooter in Fresno

 
FRESNO, CA (April 25, 2023) – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified 24-year-old Oswald Capistron as the victim who died in a scooter accident on Highway 99 on April 19.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at Fresno Street. Based on a report, a vehicle traveling northbound on the highway struck Capistron, identified as a homeless man.
 
Police said the impact ejected him from his scooter onto the lanes of the highway. The driver of the vehicle attempted to pull the victim from the roadway, but two other cars struck him.
 
As a result, Capistron died at the scene.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are ongoing.
