Fatal Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 240 in Richland

 
RICHLAND, WA (September 20, 2022) – Police confirmed that one person died in a car crash on Highway 240 on September 17.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened 20 miles west of Richland at about 11:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, the victim’s vehicle was traveling eastbound on the highway at the time of the crash. At the same time, another vehicle was traveling west. Due to unknown reasons, the victim’s vehicle struck the westbound vehicle.
 
As a result, an attending coroner pronounced the victim deceased at the scene. Officers did not release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
In addition, the two occupants of the second vehicle, a man and woman in their 60s, were taken to Kadlec Medical Center for unknown injuries.
