Two Vehicles Fatally Collide on Carbon Canyon Road in Brea

 
BREA, CA (March 24, 2023) Brea Police Department officers confirmed that one person died in a head-on crash on Carbon Canyon Road on March 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east of Olinda Village around 8:10 PM. Based on a report, two vehicles collided in the lanes.
 
At this point, it was not clear what vehicle crossed the median onto the opposite lane.
 
As a result, one of the drivers sustained major injuries and died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to two hospitals for treatment, police said.
 
The department’s Traffic Division is investigating the cause of the collision. As of now, officers ask anyone with information to call Sgt. Edgar Padilla at 714-671-4475.
