One Dies After Being Hit in Santa Rosa Pedestrian Crash on Hopper Avenue
SANTA ROSA, CA (February 18, 2025) – A person died after being struck by a vehicle in a pedestrian crash on Hopper Avenue on Tuesday night, February 11.
The fatal incident occurred in the 1100 block of Hopper Avenue, according to the Santa Rosa Police Department which responded to the scene at about 6:56 p.m.
Officials stated that a maroon Chevrolet Suburban had headed eastbound when it slammed into a pedestrian wearing dark clothing, who tried to cross the street outside of a crosswalk.
The force of impact inflicted fatal injuries to the stricken victim, who died at a local hospital.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Suburban did not leave the collision site, calling 911 and cooperating when respondents arrived.
Authorities are still working on determining the cause and circumstances behind the crash.
As the investigation remains in progress, no further information is released at this time.
