SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 24, 2024) – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on Highway 87 on September 14.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at FM 1516 around 12:30 AM. Based on a report, the victim was on the highway at the time of the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a vehicle struck the victim.
 
As a result, the pedestrian suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Deputies did not yet release the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. BCSO shut down the highway while they conducted their preliminary investigation.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
