DONNA, TX (September 24, 2024) – Authorities identified 72-year-old Feliberto Romero Ramirez who died in a pedestrian accident on FM 493 on September 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Hernandez Road around 6:50 AM. Based on a report, Ramirez was walking eastbound on the south side of Hernandez Road at the time of the accident.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a district school bus hit him.
 
As a result, the victim sustained injuries in the incident.
 
The driver stayed at the scene and rendered aid. Weslaco Independent School District confirmed the bus did not carry students at the time of the accident.
