PHOENIX, AZ (January 26, 2023) – Phoenix police confirmed that a woman died in a rollover crash on northbound Highway 17 on January 20.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Grant Street around 3:00 AM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a work truck on his way to work at the time of the crash.
 
Due to unknown reasons, a car clipped his truck and rolled after the impact. As a result, the impact partially ejected and pinned her underneath the vehicle.
 
She was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials did not disclose her name, pending next of kin notification.
 
Emergency crews transported a female passenger, also in her 20s, to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
Officers suspected the driver of the passenger car to be impaired. At this time, detectives are gathering leads and evidence regarding the case.
