Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Vehicle on South 8th Avenue in Yuma
YUMA, AZ (January 26, 2023) – The Yuma Police Department confirmed that a 75-year-old woman died in a pedestrian accident on South 8th Avenue on January 17.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at 23rd Street around 7:55 PM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing 8th Avenue at the time of the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, a 63-year-old man driving a Chevrolet Silverado struck her.
As a result, the woman suffered grave injuries. Emergency crews transported her to Yuma Regional Medical Center and to a Phoenix-area hospital, where she died. Officials did not release her name, pending kin notification.
