Cement Truck Involved in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 9 in Snohomish

 
SNOHOMISH, WA (March 31, 2023) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 9 on March 27.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened near the Bickford roundabout around 5:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, two sedans collided with a cement truck. Subsequently, one vehicle caught fire in the incident.
 
As a result, the driver of the vehicle that caught fire was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy will determine if the driver died from the initial crash or the fire. Officials did not yet release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the other sedan was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
 
It’s unclear what caused the crash. At this point, an investigation into the accident is ongoing.
