Vehicle Crashes into Water on East 104th Avenue in Thornton

 
THORNTON, CO (January 5, 2024) – The Adams County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that one person died in a crash on East 104th Avenue on January 1.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at McKay Road around 2:23 AM. Based on a report, the victim was an occupant of a vehicle that crashed into a body of water at the intersection.
 
CSP troopers said the victim died at the scene. Officials did not yet release the victim’s identity, pending kin notification.
 
The second occupant of the vehicle was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
 
Emergency personnel shut down East 104 Avenue while crews worked to remove the vehicle from the water.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
