Fatal Pueblo Motorcycle Accident on Highway 50 and Wills Boulevard
PUEBLO, CO (October 16, 2024) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 50 on Tuesday, October 1.
According to the Pueblo Police Department, the crash occurred at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Highway 50 and Wills Boulevard.
Pueblo Police said that the incident involved a motorcyclist and another vehicle.
Authorities arrived at the scene and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. The Pueblo County Coroner will later release the rider’s identity pending notification of loved ones.
There were no reports of whether anyone sustained injuries in the vehicle.
According to Pueblo Police, speeding might have played a role in the incident. Witnesses told officers the rider did not have his headlights on. However, it has not been confirmed by investigators.
Officers closed two westbound lanes of Highway 50 during an on-scene investigation.
Pueblo Police continue to investigate the cause of the accident.
