Motorcyclist Killed, Driver Arrested in Accident on Highway 24 in Buena Vista

 
BUENA VISTA, CO (July 31, 2024) – The Buena Vista Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 24 on July 12.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the collision happened at Mill Street around 12:30 AM. Based on a report, a motorcycle and a car crashed in the lanes.
 
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries in the incident. Police arrived with Chaffee County Fire, Chaffee County EMS, and CSP officers. Crews transported the victim to the hospital, where he later died. The Chaffee County Coroner’s Office did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
Police arrested the driver of the other vehicle for suspected drunk driving.
