Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Durango Drive in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 12, 2024) – The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that one person died in a motorcycle accident on Durango Drive on June 20.
 
According to the Nevada State Police, the collision happened at Arby Avenue around 3:26 PM. Based on a report, the victim was driving a Suzuki GSX-R1000 motorcycle south on Durango Drive at a high rate of speed before the crash.
 
At the same time, a Chevrolet Colorado truck was traveling north on Durango Drive. The truck made a westbound turn onto Arby Avenue and entered the Suzuki’s path of travel. Subsequently, the front of the Suzuki crashed into the right rear of the Chevrolet, ejecting the rider southbound and onto the roadway.
 
As a result, the rider suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews took the victim to the UMC Trauma Center, where he died. Officials did not release the deceased’s name, pending kin notification.
 
The driver of the Chevrolet sustained injuries but remained at the collision scene. The driver did not show signs of impairment and cooperated with the investigation.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
