FORT COLLINS, CO (October 30, 2024) – The Colorado Department of Transportation confirmed that one person died in a pedestrian accident on 25 Freeway on October 14.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the accident happened at Prospect Road around 4:15 AM. Based on a report, a Chevrolet Silverado driver struck a pedestrian on the freeway.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Authorities did not release the victim’s name, pending notification of next of kin.
 
The driver of the vehicle had minor injuries.
 
The interstate was shut down between Colorado 68 and Exit 268 for Prospect Road near Fort Collins.
