Fatal DUI Bicycle Accident on Highway 50 in Pueblo West

 
PUEBLO WEST, CO (September 6, 2023) – Officials confirmed that one person died in a bicycle accident on Highway 50 on August 29.
 
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened shortly before 9:30 PM. Based on a report, the cyclist was crossing the highway at the time of the crash.
 
The victim was crossing south to north when a westbound car hit him.
 
As a result, the cyclist suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials only identified him as a 54-year-old man from Pueblo.
 
The 24-year-old driver of the car was not hurt.
 
Officers said the rider may have been drunk at the time of the crash.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
