Fatal Malibu Car Crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Kanan Dume Road

 
MALIBU, CA (November 16, 2022) – One person died while another got harmed in a stolen vehicle crash on Pacific Coast Highway and Kanan Dume Road on Monday afternoon, November 14.

Authorities said a 2017 Lexus NX, driven by a person who had stolen the vehicle between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m., drove at a high rate of speed when it slammed into a motorcycle and the truck.

The force of the impact caused fatal injuries to the driver of the stolen Lexus, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Respondents rendered aid to the motorcyclist, who received medical attention at a hospital for unknown condition.

No other injuries were reported.

Officials closed off all lanes of the Pacific Coast Highway at the Kanan Dume Road exit. The southbound side at Cornell Road was also shut down.

The incident is under investigation.
