LAGO VISTA, TX (July 27, 2023) — One person died, and another sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on FM 1431 on Sunday, July 23.
 
The crash involving two motorcycles took place on FM 1431 near Tyler Trail at around 8:43 a.m.
 
Austin-Travis County EMS, STAR Flight, and the Travis County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area.
 
Law enforcement closed FM 1431 so a STAR Flight helicopter could land.
 
ATCEMS medics airlifted one of the patients to St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center with serious injuries. They pronounced the other patient dead at the scene.
 
Authorities urged drivers to avoid the area as police investigated and crews cleared the scene. They reopened all the closed lanes of FM 1431 on Sunday afternoon.
