Fatal Accident on Briargate Parkway in Colorado Spring
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 6, 2024) – The Colorado Springs Police Department confirmed that one person died in an accident on Briargate Parkway on May 25.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened at Chapel Hills Drive around 9:00 PM. Based on a report, one vehicle was traveling eastbound on Briargate Parkway before the crash.
At the same time, a second car was traveling westbound on the same road. When the car attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Chapel Hills Drive, a collision occurred.
As a result, one of the drivers suffered grave injuries and died in the incident. Officials did not release the victim’s name, pending kin notification.
Emergency crews transported the other to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.
According to eyewitnesses, speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
