Single Vehicle Involved in Fatal Rollover Accident in Okanogan County

 
OKANOGAN COUNTY, WA (September 14, 2022) – Officers confirmed that one person died in a rollover accident near Okanogan on September 8.
 
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 11:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, the vehicle that the victim was in drove through a guardrail. Subsequently, the car went rolling down the embankment and a passenger was then thrown out of it. The car stopped rolling as it landed on its driver’s side.
 
As a result, one of the two occupants of the vehicle died at the scene.
 
Troopers said the victim was not wearing his seatbelt. Officials did not yet release his name, pending kin notification.
 
WSP officers said drugs and alcohol were a factor in the fatal accident. At this point, no other details are available. Also, an investigation into the case is ongoing.
