Fatal Pedestrian Accident on 15 Freeway in Las Vegas

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 7, 2023) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on 15 Freeway on Friday, October 27.
 
According to a Nevada State Police news release, the crash took place at about 3:05 a.m. on the northbound 15 Freeway, north of Apex.
 
The release said a silver Nissan Altima sedan and a gray Toyota Camry moved northbound on 15 Freeway. Then, for unknown reasons, a male pedestrian walked in the far-left travel lane just north of the vehicles. It then resulted in both vehicles hitting the pedestrian.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles sustained minor injuries.
 
Authorities closed the northbound 15 Freeway and the Apex on-ramp. They also diverted traffic to Las Vegas Boulevard to bypass up to U.S. Highway 93.
 
Nevada State Police said all closed lanes of 15 Freeway reopened at about 7:55 a.m.
