One Fatally Injured in Pedestrian Accident on Circle Drive and Winnepeg Drive

 
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (April 30, 2024) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident on Circle Drive on Saturday, April 20.
 
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, the crash happened at Circle Drive and Winnepeg Drive, east of downtown Colorado Springs at around 10:38 p.m.
 
American Medical Response and the Colorado Springs Fire Department also responded to the scene. They gave medical treatment to the pedestrian. After that, they brought the victim to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where the victim later died.
 
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the victim, pending notification of loved ones.
 
The driver reportedly stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities during the investigation.
 
Police have not yet released what caused the crash. However, they said that impairment does not appear to be a factor.
