Fatal Pedestrian Accident on Belmont Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (February 23, 2023) – A woman was hit and killed in a pedestrian accident on Belmont Avenue on Friday, February 17.
According to the Fresno Police Department, the fatal collision occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. near Palm Avenue.
Based on reports, the woman was walking in the area while pushing a shopping cart when an oncoming vehicle hit her.
Responders transported her to the hospital, but she later succumbed to her injuries and died.
The involved driver stayed at the scene and waited for the authorities to arrive. No charges have been reported at this time.
There are no other details in connection to the crash. Authorities will release updates as the investigation continues.
