One Dead, Child Airlifted in Car Crash on Greenhouse Road and Tuckerton Road [Cypress, TX]

Fatal Cypress Car Accident on Greenhouse Road and Tuckerton Road

 
CYPRESS, TX (July 27, 2023) — One person died and a child suffered injuries in a car crash at the intersection of Greenhouse Road and Tuckerton Road on Sunday, July 23.
 
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the accident took place at around 8:45 p.m.
 
Authorities with the Cy-Fair Fire Department said a Ford F-150 pick-up truck ran a red light. Then the Ford F-150 t-boned a Toyota Sienna van. The impact caused both vehicles to roll over.
 
The driver of the Sienna died at the scene.
 
Paramedics airlifted a child who was in the van to a local hospital in unknown condition.
 
Investigators suspect that the driver of the truck was under the influence at the time of the crash.
 
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office requested that the Harris County District Attorney’s Office charge the truck driver with intoxicated manslaughter.
