Pedestrian Struck and Critically Injured by Hit-and-Run Vehicle on 35th Avenue in Phoenix
PHOENIX, AZ (November 21, 2023) – The Phoenix Police Department confirmed that one person is in critical condition following a pedestrian accident on 35th Avenue on November 12.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at Thomas Road around 12:30 AM. Based on a report, the victim was crossing mid-block on 35th Avenue outside of a crosswalk prior to the crash.
Subsequently, a truck that was heading south hit the victim. The driver of the vehicle then fled the scene without giving aid to the man on the road.
As a result, the pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the incident. Fire crews rushed him to the hospital.
Police did not release the description of the truck and its driver.
