70-Year-Old Norman Johnson Identified in Fatal Weinert Crash

 
WEINERT, TX (September 18, 2023) – Officials identified 70-year-old Norman Bernard Johnson of O’Brien who died in a crash on Highway 277 on September 10.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened at FM 617 around 12:39 PM. Based on a report, was driving his car east on FM 617 prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 25-year-old Alexandra Rose Cummings of Midland was driving an SUV traveling south on Highway 277, approaching FM 617. When Johnson stopped his car at the intersection, he failed to yield the right-of-way to Cummings, causing a crash.
 
As a result, Johnson suffered grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
Cummings was not injured in the incident.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
