Nicki Guy Killed in West Orange Head-On Accident on Highway 73
WEST ORANGE, TX (January 17, 2024) — A driver from Louisiana identified as Nicki Dewayne Guy died in a head-on crash on Saturday, January 13.
According to the Bridge City Police Department, officers rushed to a three-vehicle crash in the 100 block of State Highway 73 near the Rainbow Bridge at around 5:35 a.m.
Police said a black Ford F-150 moving northbound, crossed over the center divider into the oncoming lanes of the southbound traffic. Then it collided head-on with a white Ford passenger van driven by Guy. After that, a gray Dodge pickup also struck the Ford van.
Emergency responders pronounced Guy dead at the scene from sustained injuries in the crash.
Paramedics also rushed several others by ambulance to a Southeast Texas hospital. As of writing, the extent of their condition is not yet known.
The investigation of the incident is still underway.
