Motorcyclist Nicholas Jeffers Identified in Fatal Accident on East Golf Links Road in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (February 14, 2025) – The Tucson Police Department identified 69-year-old Nicholas G. Jeffers who died in a motorcycle accident in the 3900 block of East Golf Links Road on February 7.
 
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision happened near Aviation Highway. Based on a report, Jeffers was riding a motorcycle west on Golf Links Road at the time of the crash.
 
When he exited onto the Aviation Highway, he crashed into the rear of a 2013 Volkswagen Passat that was stopped in the gore area.
 
As a result, the victim suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to the hospital, where he later died. Police say Jeffers was not wearing a helmet.
 
The Volkswagen’s driver, an 81-year-old male, was not hurt.
 
Police issued a citation to the driver of the Volkswagen for being positioned in the gore area.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
