Neftaly Soto Identified in Fatal Head-On Crash in Duval County

 
DUVAL COUNTY, TX (March 29, 2023) – Officers identified 25-year-old Neftaly Soto of Lardeo as the victim who died in a head-on crash on Highway 44 on March 26.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at approximately 6:11 AM.
 
Based on a report, the victim was traveling in a Ford F-150 eastbound on the highway prior to the crash. At the same time, a Volvo semi-truck pulling a trailer was traveling westbound.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the semi-truck driver veered into the eastbound travel lane and hit Soto’s Ford head-on.
 
As a result, the victim sustained grave injuries and died at the scene.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
