Wife of Sonoma County’s Sheriff Faces DUI Charges after Santa Rosa Crash

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (May 25, 2023) – Officers arrested 47-year-old Natasha Whittinghill after crashing into a home in the 5200 block of Beaumont Way on May 20.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at approximately 12:51 AM. Based on a report, Whittinghill is the wife of Sonoma County’s Sheriff Eddie Engram.
 
Due to unknown reasons, she crashed her Tesla into the house after the vehicle left the road, hit a fence and struck a tree.
 
As a result, a resident in her 50s had minor cuts from shards of glass and was taken to the hospital.
 
Officers arrested Whittinghill at the scene after determining was intoxicated enough to impair her ability to safely drive.
 
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
