Fleeing Hit-and-Run Driver Involved in Second Crash on South Parker Road in Aurora
AURORA, CO (January 24, 2024) – The Aurora Police Department reported multiple injuries in a crash involving a fleeing hit-and-run on South Parker Road on January 20.
According to the Colorado State Patrol, the crash happened just east of 225 Freeway around 12:45 PM. Based on a report, an initial non-injury crash occurred and one of the drivers fled the scene.
Subsequently, the driver fleeing from the hit-and-run crashed into another vehicle. The impact caused that vehicle to crash into an RTD bus.
As a result, the hit-and-run suspect, a woman, suffered serious injuries in the incident. Crews took her to the hospital for treatment and recovery.
Crews also took the driver of the car that was pushed into the RTD bus to the hospital in critical condition. They also rushed some people on the bus to the hospital with minor injuries.
The police are currently holding the hit-and-run driver in custody.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
