Motorcycle Rider Died After Crash on West Ocean Avenue and West Bailey Avenue

 
LOMPOC, CA (March 3, 2025) – A motorcyclist died following a crash on West Ocean Avenue and West Bailey Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, February 25.
 
According to the Lompoc Fire Department, the fatal incident happened around 4:00 p.m.
 
Initial investigation reported that a 2003 Toyota Tundra was at a complete stop at the intersection when it crossed from South Bailey Avenue onto West Ocean Avenue. At the same time, a 2002 Honda VTX1800C was traveling eastbound on West Ocean Avenue.
 
The Toyota ended up directly in the path of the motorcycle, causing the collision, police said.
 
The 53-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene, authorities confirmed.
 
The female driver of the Toyota, an 83-year-old woman, was not harmed.
 
Investigation into the incident remains open and active.
