Motorcyclist Suffers Injuries After Chula Vista Crash on Hilltop Drive and East Rienstra

 
CHULA VISTA, CA (March 3, 2025) – A motorcycle rider sustained injuries following a crash on Hilltop Drive and East Rienstra on Friday morning, February 21.

The incident involving a Ford F-150 and a GMC Yukon happened at around 9:30 a.m., according to the Chula Vista Police Department.

Authorities stated that a motorcycle being driven by a 17-year-old motorist had headed northbound on Hilltop Drive.

For reasons still undetermined, the rider figured in a collision with the Ford, operated by a 46-year-old San Diego man who had turned eastbound onto East Rienstra.

The force of impact ejected the motorcyclist, who was then hit by the westbound GMC, driven by a 33-year-old Chula Vista woman.

The accident left the motorcycle rider with significant injuries, prompting respondents to conduct a transport to a nearby trauma center for treatment.

Meanwhile, the other drivers involved did not leave the scene and decided to cooperate.

Officials are still working on determining the cause and circumstances behind the crash.
