Monica Arthur Killed, Jaidon Gentry Injured in Accident on Highway 149 [Gregg County, TX]

Monica Arthur Identified in Gregg County Fatal Accident on Highway 149

 
GREGG COUNTY, TX (May 16, 2023) – Officers identified 53-year-old Monica Arthur of Tatum in a fatal accident on Highway 149 on May 14.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the collision happened at the intersection of Younger Road. Based on a report, Arthur was driving west on the highway prior to the crash.
 
At the same time, 20-year-old Jaidon J. Gentry of Longview was traveling east on the roadway. Due to unknown reasons, Gentry failed to yield the right of way to Arthur’s vehicle. Then, DPS said the victim’s vehicle crashed into Gentry at the intersection.
 
As a result, Arthur suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews transported him to a local hospital, where she died.
 
Gentry was taken to a Longview hospital for his injuries.
 
As of now, the case remains under investigation. In addition, no other details are available.
