18-Year-Old Molly Reck Dies in Smith County Head-On Collision

 
SMITH COUNTY, TX (August 30, 2022)Molly Reck in a head-on car crash on Farm-to-Market 346 and County Road 122 on Wednesday, August 17.

The Texas Department of Public Safety responded to reports of a head-on collision near the intersection of Farm-to-market 346 and County Road 122.

18-year-old Reck of Tyler was eastbound on Farm to Market Road 346 in a Hyundai Tuscon. At the same time, the 16-year-old driver of a Toyota RAV4 was westbound on same roadway.

A report states that the Toyota driver left the roadway to the right, overcorrected, and crossed into the eastbound lane – striking Reck’s vehicle.

Reck was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota was transported to UT Health Texas-Tyler in stable condition.

Both drivers were reportedly wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash. However, no other information is available at this time.
