9-Year-Old Molly Mullens and Than Shwe Die after Wilbarger County Head-On Crash

 
WILBARGE COUNTY, TX (March 26, 2024) — A 9-year-old girl from Dallas identified as Molly Mullens was one of two people killed in a head-on crash on Saturday, March 16.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the accident happened on Highway 70 at 6:10 p.m.
 
Texas DPS said the driver of a 2014 Honda Odyssey lost control on a curved section of the road. Then the vehicle went through a grassy median and collided head-on with a 2021 GMC Yukon. After that, a 2023 Honda Pilot also struck the GMC.
 
The driver of the Odyssey identified as 43-year-old Than Than Shwe, from Vernon, died at the scene. At the same time, a 14-year-old girl who was a passenger in the van sustained injuries. Paramedics transported her to the hospital.
 
Molly Mullens – who was in the GMC – died at the hospital.
 
Her parents, 45-year-old Marissa Mullens and 48-year-old Michael Mullens, and her two teen brothers Conner Mullens and Sean Mullens, were also in the SUV. Medics also transported all four of them to the hospital with serious injuries. Loved ones created a GoFundMe page to support their family.
 
39-year-old Lorena Trejos from Fort Worth and 44-year-old Hernando Trejos from the Honda Pilot also suffered minor injuries.
