Mindy Moreno Dead After Seminole Two-Vehicle Accident

SEMINORE, TX (February 15, 2025) — A 35-year-old Seminole woman, Mindy Sue Moreno, died in a semi-truck on Wednesday, February 5.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred at approximately 8:49 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 385 and County Road 124.

Investigators determined that 47-year-old Jesus Hernandez, of El Paso, drove a 2000 Kenworth semi-truck westbound on County Road 124. After stopping at the intersection, Hernandez proceeded onto Highway 385. However, he failed to yield the right of way.

As he entered the highway, the semi-truck crashed with Moreno’s northbound 2024 Ford Bronco in the passing lane. The impact of the crash proved fatal, and Moreno died at the scene.

Meanwhile, Hernandez did not sustain any injuries.

Officials noted that foggy weather conditions were present during the crash. However, it remains unclear if visibility played a role in the collision. Both drivers wore their seatbelts.

The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the incident.
