Mihaita Llie Dies in Benjamin Car Accident on Highway 6 and Highway 82

 
BENJAMIN, TX (October 16, 2023) — A 32-year-old man identified as Mihaita Llie of Arkansas died in a car crash on Wednesday, October 11.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, 33-year-old Dengke Li drove a Toyota minivan northbound on Highway 6. Then he failed to yield to a stop sign at the intersection.
 
At the same time, a 39-year-old woman drove a Chevrolet minivan with one passenger east on Highway 82. Then Li’s vehicle struck the Chevrolet minivan, causing it to roll over several times.
 
Justice of the Peace Pam Oliver pronounced the Chevrolet passenger, Mihaita Llie, dead on the scene. Emergency responders transported the driver to United Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported Li to Knox County Hospital where he was later released. They also rushed his passenger, 25-year-old Chenix Liu, to Hendrick North hospital.
