Michael Prendergast Fatally Struck in Vinton Semi-Truck Accident on 10 Freeway

 
VINTON, TX (April 29, 2024) — A semi-truck fatally hit 39-year-old Michael Prendergast on 10 Freeway on Saturday, April 13.
 
According to the El Paso Police, the accident occurred on 10 Freeway West at Mile Marker 5 near the Vinton Road exit at around 8:00 p.m.
 
El Paso Police said Prendergast drove a pickup truck eastbound on 10 Freeway. Then he pulled over.
 
After that, Predergast crossed into the westbound lanes in front of the semi-truck. However, the semi was not able to stop on time and struck him.
 
Prendergast suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
