Meshach Cornish Dies after Crashing into Work Truck in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (May 8, 2023) – The Fresno County Coroner’s Office identified 36-year-old Meshach Cornish of Fresno as the victim who died in a crash on Marks Avenue on May 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Ashlan Avenue around 10:45 AM. Based on a report, Cornish was driving a minivan north on Marks Avenue approaching Ashlan Avenue prior to the crash.
Due to unknown reasons, he slammed into the back of a large work truck parked on Marks Avenue.
As a result, Cornish suffered grave injuries in the incident. Emergency crews rushed him to Community Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
The truck blocked the right lane of Marks but was marked by traffic cones.
As of now, an investigation into the case is ongoing. In addition, no other details are available.
