Megan Lee Sanders Fatally Injured in Bakersfield Pedestrian Accident

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 31, 2024) — 42-year-old Megan Lee Sanders was killed in a pedestrian accident on Rosedale Highway on January 23.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 6:00 a.m. just west of Rudd Avenue.

Based on reports, Sanders was then walking outside the crosswalk from northbound lanes and across eastbound lanes of the highway. Soon after, a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado arrived in the area and crashed into her.

She sustained injuries which led to her death.

The 37-year-old Bakersfield man was driving the vehicle at the time. He stayed to cooperate with the investigation.

Authorities ruled out the possible connection of drugs and alcohol.
