78-Year-Old Mary Ann Diaz-Moreno Dies in Santa Rosa Head-On Car Crash

 
SANTA ROSA, CA (September 30, 2022) – Police identified 78-year-old Mary Ann Diaz-Moreno as the victim in a fatal head-on crash on Rohnert Park Expressway on September 23.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just east of Stony Point Road around 1:53 PM.
 
Based on a report, Diaz-Moreno was driving a gray Honda CRV SUV westbound on Rohnert Park at the time of the crash. At the same time, a Turlock man was driving a white Ford Ranger pickup eastbound.
 
Due to unknown reasons, the Ford driver made an unsafe turning movement to the left and crossed into the opposing lane. Subsequently, both vehicles collided head-on.
 
As a result, Diaz-Moreno died at the hospital.
 
The Ford driver was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
