Mark Ray and Adrian Ceniceros Dead after Gruver Semi-Truck Crash

 
GRUVER, TX (September 3, 2024) — Two men identified as Mark Ray and Adrian Ceniceros died in a semi-truck accident on Tuesday, August 27.
 
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash took place on FM 2018 and Highway 136 in Hansford County at around 2:22 p.m.
 
Texas DPS said 56-year-old Mark Ray, of Clinton, Oklahoma, drove a 2021 Peterbilt truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer. He traveled westbound on FM 2018.
 
Meanwhile, 20-year-old Adrian Ceniceros, 20, Perryton, drove a 2001 Freightliner truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer. He moved northbound on Highway 136.
 
Then, Ray ran a stop sign at the intersection of FM 2018 and SH 136. It resulted in the semi crashing into the other big rig.
 
Both semis caught fire and sustained significant damage.
 
The Hansford County Justice of the Peace pronounced both Ray and Ceniceros dead at the scene.
 
Texas DPS said they have not yet determined if either man wore a seat belt due to the damage to each truck.
